The Armidale Lineup includes!
MC: Kevin Kropinyeri
Australia’s premier Aboriginal comedy star, Kevin Kropinyeri is a one-man whirlwind that will have you holding your sides laughing, as he shares tales of growing up, marriage and the particular, absurd challenges of life as an Aboriginal Australian family man.
A high-energy performer, Kevin is sharp, likeable, silly and measured; mixing keen observational standup with joyfully ridiculous physical comedy.
Dane Simpson is one of Australia’s rapidly rising stars. He has toured around Australia doing various comedy shows. He has appeared on ABC’s Comedy Up Late. He starred in the hit standup comedy show “Aborigi-LOL” which sold out its entire season at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival – and he also appeared on the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala.
In 2012 Ivan migrated from Venezuela to Adelaide and took up the challenge of performing comedy in a second language. Six months later he’d collected his first comedy award and was chosen to perform in Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Comedy Zone and Roadshow.
Ivan now happily calls Australia home and has established himself as Australia’s favourite Venezuelan comedian, relishing the chance to perform in his second language, English. He has gathered a mass of fans for his trademark cheerful and naïve rejoicing in the troubles and joys of a land that is girt by tomato sauce…and the unmissable Saturday Bunnings sausage sizzle.
Nikki Britton started out as an actor and exploded onto the comedy scene in 2011 with her warm, lightning paced style that has seen her appear on ABC’s Comedy Up Late and on The Comedy Channel as part of the Just For Laughs Festival.
She has performed for the last 5 years with the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow, and recently returned from India where she was a part of the Bengaluru Comedy Festival for the first time. She has performed internationally at LA’s Laugh Factory, The Hollywood Improv and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Pat McCaffrie is a Melbourne-based comedian and writer. He has performed sold out shows at festivals around the country, won a Weekly Award for Best Comedy at the Adelaide Fringe, and performed in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Comedy Zone.
Since then he has written and presented for Channel 44’s Raucous Caucus and Channel 31’s The Leak, and is currently a writer for the ABC’s Shaun Micallef’s Mad as Hell.
Show running time is approximately 2 hrs 15 mins including 20 min interval
